There are 16 varieties of plants are included in this program and steps have been taken to grow paddy and chillies in the district of Badulla. District Agricultural Division is dealing with supervision, collecting of data and reporting on whether such crops have reached the cutivation targets expected. These programs are implemented by divisional secretariat divisions with the assistance of Ministry of Agriculture including other financial support and the Department of Agriculture, Provincial Agriculture Department and Department of Agrarian Development etc. District Agricultural Committess are conducted headed by the district secretary with the participation of divisional secretaries and institutions related to agricultural field. The targets and progress of agricultural programs implemented within the district of Badulla are taken under discussion and, solutions for agricultural problems are also conveyed therin. - Programs of updating rural economy. - Supporting the Wawamu-Rata Dinawamu program.(Program implementation and progress reporting at the Divisional Secretariat level) - Implementation of "Kapakaru Govi Bim" program in Divisional Secretariat Divisions. - 2022/23 season of paddy/maize cultivation and harvesting of paddy cultivation in the 2022 season,Calculate the need of fuel in badulla district for agriculthure and inform the heads of relevant ministries and institutions. - Forecasting the crop production program for the coming seasons.
