Ensure the preparation and usage of organic and chemical fertilizer in proper standard in order to increase the production and productivity of the crops cultivated in Sri Lanka.
Mission
Evaluate the fertilizer requirement under scientific recommendation via engage in relevant stakeholders as per the provisions of Fertilizer Regularization Act, Fertilizer importation and stock control, ensure the distribution and sales of standard quality fertilizer, improve the environmental friendly fertilizer usage while using organic and chemical fertilizer, operate fertilizer subsidy schemes with the objective of increasing income of farmer's community and take action to avoid irregularities in the fertilizer usage field.

Regulate the market of fertilizers with different nutrient ratios based on data from the National Fertilizer Secretariat, fertilizers prepared by individual companies and mixtures approved by the National Fertilizer Secretariat at its discretion as well as recommendations issued by crop research institutes, mixtures approved by the National Fertilizer Secretariat, mixtures approved by the company at its discretion as well as products imported with the approval of the National Fertilizer Secretariat. (Take steps to eliminate market interest in fertilizers other than those approved by the National Fertilizer Secretariat.) |

1. New Registration of Fertilizer Shops
For new registration of fertilizer shops, download the following application form and complete it as per the instructions, and send it along with
-A copy of the shop owner's National Identity Card
-A copy of the Business Registration Certificate and
-A copy of the Trade License (Presidency Council/Urban Council)
by registered post to the Deputy Director, National Fertilizer Secretariat, District Secretariat, Badulla.
2. Annual Registration Renewal
For annual registration renewal of fertilizer shops, download the application form below and complete it as per the instructions,
-Send a copy of the trade license (Presidency Council/Urban Council) to the Deputy Director, National Fertilizer Secretariat, District Secretariat, Badulla by registered post.
